| Calahonda is 33kms from Malaga airport, in between Marbella and Fuengirola. This is a custom-built urbanisation or housing estate that has been so successful, it is now known as a town in its own right, although Calahonda is really only a suburb of Marbella. Calahonda is regarded as a prime real estate area due to its proximity to all major towns along the coast, whilst managing to preserve the atmosphere of a small town.
